Hair Care

Okay y'all, let's talk hair care.

My Journey

(I have to give myself some credentials or y'all will just think I'm spouting nonsense)

My hair journey has been a LONG one. Back in high school I naturally spent my mornings washing my hair EVERY day, followed by frying the absolute HECK out of my hair EVERY day. When I went to college and realized that people didn't wash/do their hair everyday it was the start to me having healthier hair habits.

In college I started only washing my hair every other day. This was a start. I was still buying cheap drug store products and putting heat on my hair every day. This slowly became 3x/week and then 2x/week. This went on over the course of 4 years because I just hadn't done my research yet. My senior year I cut all of my dead hair off because I wanted a fresh start.

When I graduated college I started washing my hair once per week. That summer is when I decided to really start taking care of my hair. I had recently cut it so it was very healthy and I was determined to keep it that way. This is when I discovered Function of Beauty. I was able to customize my shampoo and conditioner so that it fit my hair needs. I still use this. You can choose your color and scent.

"Every product we formulate is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, gluten, and is always vegan + cruelty-free." -Function of Beauty

Since then...

- I have started taking Biotin for hair growth

- I use Function of Beauty products

- I use Moroccan Oil for my ends

- I use Dae products
