Charlotte & High Point University Adventure

This weekend was a whirlwind, but so worth it. It started on Thursday with my furniture coming in, which doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but it has been on backorder since JANUARY because of COVID so this was a very big deal lol. I will do a reveal soon, but my room is still a mess so we will come back to that 🤪. I went down to Hilton Head Island to pick up the furniture and I decided to stay the night down there with my friend, Karrie. We had a wonderful girls night with wine and old movies. What could be better? 💗

Friday is when the craziness began. I drove to Charlotte, NC to visit my good friend, Emily, from college. (she also has a blog so feel free to check that out too HERE ) We spontaneously decided to go to the Jason Aldean concert at PNC Pavilion that night and I have no regrets. We had a long conversation about how we could end up shutting down as a country at any moment so we might as well live life to the fullest. I read a quote recently that I have started living by, that could become really dangerous (🤪), but it has helped me stop stressing and treat myself to adventure more often. “You can always make more money, but you can’t buy back time.” These are words to live by. I don’t use this in cases where I want materialistic things. I think of this quote when I could be making unmatched memories and the only thing holding me back is not wanting to spend money. Now, I understand you can’t do this all the time, but I am in this place where I feel like it is super necessary to travel and enjoy life because you never know what could happen. Needless to say we lived our BEST lives in Charlotte. We made incredible memories at the concert and around the city. 💕

This brings me to Sunday, when I moved my sister, Spencer, into college. It is her sophomore year at High Point University. She is living in the same style dorm that I did when I went there during my sophomore and junior year. It is so interesting how the smell or feel of a place can take you back to a different time of your life. I walked the whole campus because it is easily the prettiest college campus I have ever seen, but it was also my home for four prominent years of my life. When I am there it doesn't even feel like I left. What I miss the most was living in Centennial House 865 with my humans. Remember when we all lived in the same house or within walking distance? It is crazy how we all just thought that would never end and then we moved to completely different places in the country. We are all successful and thriving but I wish we were closer. ❤️

A little update on all of my BOSS 865 friends:

Spencer: My sister wasn’t actually there when we lived in 865, but she visited so it counts lol. She is a sophomore at High Point University living it up.

Always find the good, y’all. ✨

xoxo ~ Shelby
